Delete your account
Last updated 13 October 2026
This page is for people who use the ABF 2026 app (listed as Africa Blockchain Festival) or its website, and who want their account and the data linked to it deleted. The app is made by Soravya.
How to ask
- Write to privacy@soravya.com from the email address you sign in with. That is how we know the request is yours. Use the subject Delete my account, and say which app it is about.
- We reply to confirm we have it, and pass anything the event organizer holds to them.
- We delete your account and the data listed below, and tell you when it is done. We answer within 30 days.
If you can no longer reach that address, write from another one and tell us what the old one was. We will ask for something that shows the account is yours before we act.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in account, and the records of when and where you signed in.
- What you added to your profile: photo, bio, role, industry, country, links, and who you want to meet.
- Your saved agenda, and your choices about being found by other attendees.
- Your meeting requests and the messages inside them. The other person keeps their side of a meeting that was agreed.
- Your notifications, your notification settings, and the token that identifies your phone or browser for push notifications.
- Any message you sent to our support team.
What is kept, and for how long
- The details the event organizer registered you with— your name and email address on the guest list. The organizer holds these, not us, and decides how long to keep them. We pass your request to them and tell you we have.
- An audit trail of administrative actions on the platform, such as an organizer adding or removing someone from a guest list. It records who did what and when, and it is kept longer than the rest because its purpose is to stay answerable after the fact.
- Anonymous app usage statistics in Google Analytics for Firebase. They are tied to an identifier for the app installation, not to your account, so they cannot be picked out and deleted; Google deletes them automatically when its retention period ends. Uninstalling the app resets that identifier.
Even if you never ask, what we observed about you — the sessions you saved, who you asked to meet, what was delivered to you — is deleted 90 days after the event ends.
Delete some of your data instead
You do not have to delete your account to remove things. In the app you can:
- Replace or remove your profile photo, and edit any detail in Manage Profile.
- Stop being listed to other attendees, with Being findable in Profile.
- Delete individual notifications from Updates.
- Sign out, which removes this phone’s push notification token.
For anything else, use the same address above and say what you would like removed.
